Lesson Learned

Well, I ended up in the hospital with a blood glucose level over 850. I was having indigestion and not eating for a few days, so I thought I could skip doing my shots...BIG MISTAKE! If you are a diabetic...you have to keep testing, and doing your shots, no matter what, or it will KILL YOU! PERIOD! Lesson learned!

New Medicare Plan by Mail-Order

As of today, July 1, getting diabetic supplies through Medicare will be done by a new mail-order plan. You have to pick a provider, and sign up. medicare.gov Mail-Order Program

Due to morons commenting with SPAM posts...I have changed the settings on who can post comments on this blog. If they keep it up, I will disable comments all together....thanx a LOT, SPAM jerkoffs!

New dosage, and other stuff

I got a call from the endocrinologist and they are increasing my Lantus dosage to 35 units instead of the 30 I have been doing.

The dietician tried to get me to understand counting carbs and gave me a diet plan...and it will probably take me a while to get that...

I did find a way to fax my logs to my doctor using my scanner and this site: www.myfax.com

Doctors at last!

I now have a general practitioner, an endocrinologist, and I am even taking diabetes education classes! Thanks to: Access To Care !!

I have also started taking my insulin regularly, and I am starting to actually feel better!

I will start posting again here, I think!

Waking bg 139 at 9:00 am

Starting again...

I have started over again ...as I have a hard time with this diabetes stuff.
I have doubled my dosage for thyroid meds, and my waking bg is: 72
